The inner workings of the soldering station are housed in an attractive metal case,
and the power cord is removable for easy
storage. Cords for the U.S. and Europe are
included in the box for universal operation.
The housing is narrow, which means it
takes up less space on the workbench, and
the large LCD display is backlit to make it
easy to read in all conditions. Three large
buttons on the front of the station allow
easy toggling through the setting menus
and the soldering temperature setting.
Features
Auto shutoff
We’ve all accidentally left a soldering iron
on for an extended period of time, and not
only is that not good for the soldering iron,
but it also simply isn’t safe. To combat this,
LRP built in a safety feature that shuts off
the iron after a specified time, which can be
adjusted by the user.
Magnetic auto-sleep/
auto-wakeup function
When using any soldering iron, it’s a good
idea to reduce the heat of the iron while it’s
in its holder so you don’t burn up the tip,
but most people forget to turn it down. If
you do turn it down, it takes a while to heat
back up to operating temperature. This
is where the LRP High Power Soldering
Station really shines. It has a built-in sleep
mode; you adjust the time until the solder-
ing station goes into this mode, and you
can alter the sleep mode temperature. A
magnet mounted in the holder lets the sol-
dering station instantly sense when the iron
